the day that sneaker-heads will go absolutely crazy

the most epic shoe release of the year 2009

what a way to end the decade.

for those of you asking the question of, what's so important about this pair of Jordans?

why do they call them the "Space Jams"?

aren't they any other pair of XI's?

and why do they cost 175$?

it is your lucky day...bc im here to give you the run-down

well remember that movie Space Jam back in 96' that everyone saw?

yeah, well Jordan released the Jordan XI's during the 95-96' season,

he also wore this colorway during the movie

need a visual?

if you look real-real close you can see them

the only time they were re-released was in 2001, making this release a very big deal

many (including myself) are still confused on whether this shoe was a quickstrike super-limited release or just your average highly-sought after pair of Jordans due to unreliable sources and an abundance of speculation regarding this pair of sneakers.

regardless of when these shoes come out i will get my pair,

whether i have to wake up early on the 23rd, 24th or just see if they go on finishline.com at midnight...

as of now the question for me is whether i am going to keep them for personal wear or whether im going to flip a couple of pairs so that i can make a little bit of cash...

sometimes i forget that i am a broke college student, i am not ballin' yet

hopefully if i can get my hands on a few pair, i will sell them also

i will make sure to keep you guys posted on my final decision

(most likely within the next week)

the city of Durham would decide to build a skatepark (other than Wheels...) when i leave

but it's all good bc ya boy just happened to be in town for the Grand Opening of it today

before i arrived a few pro's from the Toy Machine and DC team in attendance

ohh and don't forget NC's own Dan Murphy

witnessing something as great as this happened really made me want to get back out there on my skateboard again...

it was soo hard just watching kid's attempt frontside flip's and nollie frontside 180's bc deep down inside i wanted to be out there doing the same exact thing

but trust and believe i will be out there over thanksgiving break shredding with my homies
